Tags are typically used to label the skills of each employee, so you can quickly and efficiently assign shifts to the correct people when building rotas. Tags could represent:

  • a reflection of the work someone does (e.g. a sales assistant)

  • a skill (e.g. they can drive)

  • a qualification (e.g. first aid trained)

  • an attribute or personal quality (e.g they're female)

  • anything that will affect how someone gets resourced or what shifts they should be able to work

When creating or editing a shift, you can use tags to ensure only people who meet a certain criteria can be assigned. You can even specify multiple tags (such as 'manager', 'first aider' and 'female') and whether or not people must possess all or any of them.

โœ… You can tag an employee with an unlimited number of tags, unlike Staff Groups where an employee can only belong to one group.

Creating, modifying or deleting tags

  1. Click on Settings in the main navigation menu

  2. Click on Tags & groups

There's also the facility to clone a tag, which creates a new tag and associates it with the same employees.

Assigning tags to employees

Via the employee's account
