Predictive Analytics is a powerful suite of tools powered by AI and machine learning, designed to elevate your forecasting, scheduling, and workforce planning.

The booster includes the following tools:

  • Sales predictions

  • Labour predictions

  • Labour deployment

💎 Predictive Analytics is an optional booster feature. For more information, you can contact your Account Manager or request for more details.

Sales predictions

Rotaready accurately forecasts your sales by stream and by day using advanced machine learning and deep learning models. These forecasts consider your historical trends, seasonality, key dates, weather patterns, and more — giving you intelligent, data-driven predictions.

Sales predictions can be viewed within Cost Control, under the Rotaready Predictions section. Use the Options menu to copy predictions directly into your weekly forecast. They are also available within the charts across Cost Control and the Rota editor.

💡 To ensure maximum accuracy, we recommend having a live EPOS integration enabled, along with at least two years of historical EPOS data.

Labour predictions

Powered by machine learning, this tool uses your historical rota and attendance data to generate hour-by-hour labour forecasts. While these predictions reflect past staffing patterns at your site, they may not always represent the most optimised schedule. However, they provide a valuable starting point — helping managers get rotas right the first time around.

The more you use Rotaready, the more accurate and tailored these predictions become, continually improving over time.

Labour predictions can be found in the Rota editor, under the Charts dropdown. The chart displays:

  • Scheduled hours

  • Predicted labour hours

  • Alignment percentage (how closely your current schedule matches the prediction)

You can also toggle on Sales predictions to compare predicted sales against both scheduled and predicted labour hours.

💡 Labour predictions should only be enabled once your business has been live on Rotaready for at least 6 months. This ensures there’s enough data for the tool to generate reliable forecasts. If you’re not yet at this stage, we recommend using the Labour deployment tool instead.

Labour deployment (coming soon)

⚠️ This feature is not yet available to Rotaready customers. It’s currently in development, more information will be shared ahead of its release.

This tool provides insights into under and over staffing directly within the rota editor, based on your forecasted sales using custom deployment rules defined by you (no AI required).

Labour Deployment must first be configured via the Settings page. Here, you’ll set key parameters like the suggested hours per sales threshold, which the system will then use to determine your ideal staffing levels.

Once configured, you’ll find Labour deployment in the Rota editor, under the Charts dropdown. The chart displays:

  • Scheduled hours

  • Slack (overstaffed areas)

  • Stress (understaffed areas)

You can also use the sales forecast toggle to compare your forecasted sales against scheduled hours.

💡 During the first 6 months with Rotaready, we recommend using this tool to help managers optimise staffing, while labour predictions learn from your live rota and attendance data.

Reporting

You can generate reports on all Predictive Analytics tools directly from Rotaready’s Reports section. This allows you to:

  • Compare predictions against your forecast, current, and actual figures

  • Review alignment and accuracy over any time period

  • Gain valuable insights to improve planning and forecasting
